On the auspicious day of Guru Purnima in 1979, Naba Nalanda School Barrackpore came into being. Like mny other institutions it had a very humble beginning with only nine students on the rolls. Since then much water has flowed down the Hooghly and the school after traversing a tortuous and chequered path has reached what it is today with a large number of vibrant, frisking and frolicking children who are taught under an Internationally acclaimed curriculum XSEED following faithfully CBSE syllabus. It has a band of adequately qualified and trained teachers well versed in English, adopted here as the medium of instruction.
